Located in the Angeles National Forest, Sunset Ridge has towers that are easily seen from Interstate 10, about 8 miles south. The site is accessed by going east on San Bernardino Freeway from Pomona.

There is both commercial and amateur communications at this location.

Go east on Interstate 10 (San Bernardino Freeway) from Pasadena. Exit at Mountain Ave / Mt Baldy Exit and turn left, going over the freeway, toward the mountains. Continue north 1.5 miles on Central to Foothill Blvd, then turn left and head west 0.7 miles to Padua Ave. Turn right onto Padua and follow it 3.1 miles north to Mount Baldy Rd. Continue north (uphill) on Mount Baldy Rd, over the dam and through the two tunnels. At Glendora Ridge Rd, make a hard left up the hill to where the road turns right. After 0.1 miles, you will come to the locked gate on the forestry-maintained road. If you are hiking, park your car across the street in the dirt lot. It is 15 miles on the dirt road to the CRC site. The road is passable by two-wheel-drive, except after heavy rain or snowfall.
